John Tinney Family Cemetery
(Beside the west branch of the Eau Claire River, on the Raymond Mosher property – section 27)

John Tinney homesteaded 160 acres on the present Hwy. H, ½ mile south of the Friebel school.  The buildings were back on the riverbank.  In December 1882, when diphtheria ran rampart, the Tinney’s lost a daughter.  She was buried near the home.
